A win for KS Global Development team with first "Master Site Plan Approvals" from City of Syracuse Planning Board for the lifestyle mater planned golf course community "Lafayette Hills Estates & Country Club". What a great effort and hard work from our development team. "The History of this golf course and beautiful area was so appealing to me", states Kassie Smith, leading the development and transformation of the site. "It is a bold development plan in an area where there is limited utility capacity, but we are forging forward". For Micron this will be a huge benefit to the upcoming employees looking for a market rate lifestyle community to relocate to. There are many apartments and affordable housing projects on line, but this is an entirely different lifestyle master planned community that has never been seen in Syracuse before.

Next meetings with Town of Onondaga to start planning for the golf course+ country club, amenities & estates. Still a journey ahead to support the housing need for Micron Technology's $100 Billion chip factory. The goal was to bring a historic golf course & country club back to the market, with a dense resort style residential community and at the same time fill a great housing need that is in the forefront for this area. A dense community with over 300 homes in planning, Lafayette Hills will present a lifestyle master planned community that has never been developed in this area. An 18 hole executive course, planned trail system, amenity lakes, community & golf clubhouses, event center and restaurants. Bringing back history....

This follows a $3 Million grant that was awarded from NY State Governor Hochul, to assist with infrastructure and the sewer extension down Lafayette Road. Kassie Smith, developer KS Global worked diligently with the City and mayor ben Walsh for this assistance. This will benefit the 300+ homes in the new community along with the existing residents in the area.

History:

LaFayette Hills Golf & Country Club, nestled in Jamesville, New York, was a semi-private golf course established in 1923. It featured an 18-hole layout designed by Seymour Dunn, covering a span of 6550 yards with a par of 71. Despite its historical charm and available amenities like a driving range and clubhouse facilities, the club faced a sharp decline in membership, culminating in its closure. The club’s last known operations suggest dwindling support and financial instability, which was exacerbated by a tax dispute with the city of Syracuse and a significant drop in membership from 350 to zero by 2013
